Oakridge Farm, Boorley Green
Scarp was appointed to provide landscape design and LVIA services to support an outline planning permission for development of land at Oakridge Farm on the eastern edge of Boorley Green, Hampshire for housing and amenity green space.
The site lies within the countryside on the edge of the settlement and currently forms part of the Botley - Boorley Green Local Gap. Scarp undertook a review of the effectiveness of the Local Gap in the context of a housing/mixed use allocation on the northern edge of Botley. The findings of this review were submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council to inform the consideration of the new Local Development Scheme.
A LVIA was undertaken to inform the development master planning exercise. This involved the preparation of detailed cross -sections through the site to help determine maximum building height distribution across the site and a landscape strategy for accommodating the proposed building form.
